How the Game Changed in 2009

I've been in this business since 2005. In the beginning, I wasn't aware that anyone was teaching men about dating in a meaningful way. I thought it was just a bunch of "Buy her a drink" type crap from magazines like Maxim and Stuff. When I did become aware of other teachers who were giving non-meanstream advice, I paid very little to what they did.

But the game was changing every year, right under my nose. Every year it was a little bit different.

The girls weren't changing. What works wasn't changing. What was changing is how men learned the game.

When I finally woke up and looked at how guys were learning, I realized that this whole "pickup artist" thing was in it's infant stages.

The guys who were teaching it had a few things they could do well.

They had some great techniques. They had some great marketing ideas. They had big dreams and lots of ambition. Everyone seemed really excited about what was happening.

Then, somewhere along the way, teaching pickup became a business. This was great news, because it created incentive for the most talented people in the field to share what they knew. Without this development, the seduction field would have remained just a dirty back alley of the internet, with the blind leading the blind.

Instead, it has become a truly legitimate form of self-help, where thousands of men have experienced true personal growth.

When I first looked around at what was going on in 2007, there were 2 main ways that people were learning.

1- Lots of guys ordered ebooks, CDs, and DVDs and studied from home.

2- Other guys would add in-field workshops as well.

These became the 2 best ways to learn.

There were upsides and downsides to both.

The study-at-home guys would have access to truly groundbreaking information, and some of them would harness this in a way that made them succeed with women like never before. These guys would be getting dates, numbers, sex, threesomes, better relationships, and way hotter girls. They'd experience increased assertiveness, career advancement, and increased earnings.

On the downside, some guys would read a zillion things, but never use any of the techniques. These guys experienced no real-life benefit. For some it was just a waste of time. For others, there was actually a decrease in the their quality of life due to become a keyboard jockey. Being a keyboard jockey is a personality disorder where you become overly-analytical and weird, have compulsions to compete in dominance contests that only exist on the internet, and become delusional. KJs have the delusion that they're actually improving your lives, when they're actually just wasting their time.

Still, the overall effect of the boom in the sales of dating products was a great advancement over the BS advice in the mainstream media.

The mainstream media is a colossal void of useful dating advice. Don't believe me? There's a Feb 2009 Maxim article where they tell you that if you buy a girl chocolate, she will have sex with to "work off the calories."

Now that's just plain awful.

As far as workshops, this was a brand new thing in 2004. It was a huge development. It worked way better than the "study at home" method.

For the first time ever, you could see someone using the techniques right in front of your eyes. You could try them out with the support of an expert.

Of course this led many guys to make MASSIVE breakthroughs. I myself started giving workshops in 2006, and I've seen amazing things. I've seen virgins get laid, guys get their first kiss, guys in the 50s having a one night stand with women in their 20s....I even had 4 out of 6 guys get laid at a workshop in Chicago. Amazing!

The main drawback is that some men take a workshop and don't practice afterwards. They forget what they learned a few weeks later. It becomes almost like a fantasy camp experience. It's a fun time, but you don't get much out of it.

On top of that, the workshop companies have this "get 'em in and get 'em out" mentality. It's "sell sell sell" and sometimes they forget about caring for the students future development.

Now that 2009 is almost over, I'm here to tell you that the game has changed again.

The next level of pickup training is about CONSISTENCY and CURRICULUM.

Remember, before me there was no one in this field who had any kind of teaching background. Naturally things would tend to evolve a lot faster once the community found a leader with 10+ years of teaching experience with the mentally ill, urban at-risk teens, sports training, and the learning disabled.

That evolution has begun, and I want to tell you all about it.

I want to point out some of the new developments that have taken place and I also want to encourage every other pickup company to follow along in what I've been working on.

PickupMansion-

This is a 12 month, live-in program where students live in a house in the middle of Hollywood. They go out all the time with their roommates pickup up women. We give them professional training every month. I personally supervise their development for a full 12 months and make sure they stay motivated and positive.

These students have experienced far more benefits than a student who just takes a weekend workshop.

There is no drop off in learning. There is no one forgetting what they learned. It's a non-stop building process.

Anyone who's been to a workshop can envision this. Think back on your workshop and all the amazing things you learned. Think back on the new bonds you formed with the other guys in the workshop and the coaches.

That was what happened in 3 days.

Now multiply that by365 days.

Get the idea?

When I first came up with this idea, most of my peers didn't think it would work out too well. They were supportive and encouraged me, but everyone seemed skeptical.

Now that I have been running this for a year, I can tell you that the formula works, and I believe every serious pickup company should have a Pickup Mansion program.

I've done the ground work. I've done the testing. I risked tens of thousands of dollars to try this idea out. Now that we know it works, I have proven that this kind of teaching is the next evolution in teaching technology.

It gives CONSISTENCY of learning that you cannot accomplish in any other way.

The other big evolution in pickup technology has been the 30/30 Club.

Instead of a hodgepodge of random information and info-marketing, the 30/30 Club is like a college course in seduction. It is based on a theory of education called "serial learning."

There are 2 kinds of learning. The old way is called "parallel learning." This is when you learn the whole method at the beginning, and then just start piecing it together as best you can. You're learning everything at the same time, in a parallel way. That's why it's called "parallel learning."

The new way is called "serial learning." This is when you learn only one thing at a time, and you use a curriculum that is specifically designed to teach various topics of seduction in a linear fashion.

This is how colleges teach. You don't take 4th year classes at the same time as first year classes. That would make things way way harder.

It seems so simple, but even now, the majority of the pickup world is still using the outdated system of parallel learning.

The 30/30 program began in mid 2008, so 2009 is the first full year we've been running it.

Judging from the number of guys getting laid in the 30/30 Club, this new method of learning is far faster and more effective than anything that has been used before. We have guys who have tried everything else out there and failed. But now they're getting laid since they joined 30/30.

I think every serious pickup company should have an online curriculum that students can use. Let's stop just throwing ebooks at people and hoping they'll sort it out. Let's start steering people towards a serious curriculum. Let's encourage them to commit to it and let's support them as they work through it.

If you look at my website, you can see that I offer lots of options. Ebooks, seminars, workshops, and the Pickup Mansion. That's what people want.

If you look closer, you'll notice that I'm trying to steer people towards a more committed way of learning. Every ebook can be upgraded to a 30/30 membership in an easy, inexpensive way.

Once you get inside the 30/30 Forum, you'll see that you're learning from guys who are truly getting laid using the material, not keyboard jockeys.

These developments are now proven to offer the student more real-life benefit than the old ways of doing things. My students are more committed and more successful than any other students out there.

The only drawback now?

Well the main drawback is that it's very hard to run these programs.

A number of pickup companies launched 12 month programs after the 30/30 Club started taking off. They even decided to use the exact same price as me. Almost all of them have been shut down now. 30/30 is getting the refugees from these failed 12 month programs.

What's the difference that causes some 12 month programs to fail?

It's simple.

If you create online coaches who actually get laid, they will give good advice, and the amount of success will multiply.

If you're teaching some shlock that doesn't get anyone laid, it will be immediately apparent by the lack of sex going on in your program and the lack of good advice on your forum.

The whole thing collapses if no one is getting laid. The whole thing multiplies if people are getting laid.

As far as the 30/30 Club, I knew going into it that it would fail miserably if guys weren't succeeding.

Furthermore, I WANTED it to fail if guys weren't succeeding. Why would I want to run a program that doesn't work?

It's survival of the fittest in the world of ideas. The 30/30 Club is an idea that survived because it works. The rest of the pack has been weeded out of existence.

As far as Pickup Mansion, it's currently being watched very closely by a lot of people. I've already had entrepreneur types submitting fake applications just so they can find out how it works. But none of them have had the balls to pull the trigger yet. No on wants to risk tens of thousands of dollars unless they are 100% sure they've got the goods. Think about it....if you started a pickup mansion and it didn't work, you'd be losing a TON of money.

So if you're looking for the next evolution in pickup technology, don't change that channel! Stay tuned to right here and we'll chat about this again at the end of 2010.

Let's hope the rest of the pack catches up in 2010.

If you're a student just catching on this now, you can apply for the 30/30 Club here and Pickup Mansion here.
